Izzy + Erik | Yates Cider Mill
Michigan really showed off during Izzy & Erik’s fall engagement session! We had perfect weather, the leaves were at their peak color, and the golden hour gave us a perfect warm fall glow!
When Izzy and I were planning the session she asked if it was ok to do multiple outfits and if three were too many and my answer was not at all! I was so thrilled that she had different looks she wanted and that we’d have three different outfits to play with! I think every couple should consider doing at least one outfit change because it really adds a lot of variety to your photos and allows you to do both casual and formal looks if you’re having trouble deciding what style you’re wanting.
We started the session at Yates Cider Mill in Rochester, MI. Now let me tell you it was PACKED that day. There were so many people and being at a crowded location means you have to be really strategic in order to get shots that don’t have people in the background. The good thing is that Yates has a lot of great spots that we were able to take full advantage of even with it being a heavy traffic day. Izzy & Erik were super prepared and got donuts ahead of time and brought cider (in cute mason jars!!). The cider and donut photos are so cute and fun! Bringing props is another great way to add variety to your photos and make a session more personal.
Next, for Izzy & Erik’s more formal look we went to Downtown Rochester. I really love how those shots turned out and going downtown helped to “dress up” those set of photos. The sun was at that short window right when it’s just about to be gone and the glow is so good!
This session has made it on the list of my absolute favorite sessions! Fall is my favorite season so this session was just a dream! Izzy & Erik were so fun, easy going, and were complete naturals in front of the camera and I really enjoyed photographing them!
