Karlene + Eric | Escanaba, Michigan
I’m delighted to share this amazing UP Michigan Wedding in Escanaba! Karlene and Eric’s wedding was an absolute dream to photograph and I’m so grateful I was able to capture it! This was my first time traveling to the UP so I had been anticipating this wedding for a while and the amazing views did NOT disappoint! Everything was so pretty and I can’t wait for the next time I’m able to go back.
The week leading up to the wedding I had been checking the weather practically every hour because there was a forecast of rain for the whole weekend. The night before and in the morning there was a pretty bad thunderstorm, but magically by the time Karlene put her dress on, the sky cleared and the weather for the rest of the day was absolutely beautiful!
The ceremony and reception took place on Karlene’s grandma’s property which was just stunning! The ceremony was tucked into the trees in a gorgeous wooded area and her grandma’s barn was converted into a light and airy reception space with white fabric, lights, and a chandelier. Karlene put a so much thought and effort into her planning and had every detail super organized. She planned a whole wedding and then had to pretty much plan it a second time when COVID-19 hit. I’m so thankful that the UP had less restrictive guidelines and this wedding was able to happen as scheduled! I’m also super thankful that Karlene included me in the timeline planning and asked for advice because it truly made a huge difference in how the day flowed and allowed me capture and deliver more photos than usual!
Karlene and Eric – Thank you for allowing me photograph your wedding, you were such a sweet and fun couple to work with! I hope your first month of marriage has been amazing and I wish you many happy months and years together!
