Emily and Gabby’s Matthaei Botanical Gardens engagement session was absolutely enchanting. This lush oasis provided the perfect backdrop for their photos and a great escape from the snowstorm quickly accumulating outside. While Michigan’s winter roared on just beyond the glass walls, inside, we were surrounded by warmth and vibrant greenery.
When we first connected during their discovery call, Emily and Gabby shared their vision for their wedding day. They described a warm autumn aesthetic, filled with rich jewel tones. I love when couples bring that vision into their engagement session, and these two did just that. Their outfit choices—deep, moody hues that popped against the tropical greens—were perfectly aligned with the look and feel they planning and curating for their wedding day. It was such a thoughtful way to make these photos feel even more connected to their wedding story.
The afternoon felt so dreamy, surrounded by vibrant florals, towering greenery, and golden light filtering in.
